Policy #7 - Refund Policy - Effective 2022-09-09

This policy sets out the parameters under which refunds will be granted and the relative amounts of those refunds.

A refund of fees will be granted under any of the following circumstances:

  1. The player has quit before participating in any Timmins Ringette on ice or off ice activity

  2. The player has been injured and has a medical practitioner’s note indicating that the player cannot participate for the remainder of the season

  3. Is a first time player who no longer wishes to participate after the first four ice sessions

A written note signed by the player or the player’s guardian describing the reason for the refund request must be sent to the Association as soon as the player is no longer participating and the Association will advise the amount of the refund.

If the reason for the refund request is not listed above then the Association will make a decision on a case by case basis.

  • All applicable Ringette Ontario fees are non-refundable

  • Refund requests before first Timmins Ringette activity - 100% (less RO fees)

  • Refund requests before October 31 - 70% (less RO fees)

  • Refund requests between November 1 and December 31 - 50% (less RO fees)

  • Refund requests after January 1 - 0% or other amount as determined by the Association

If there is disagreement with the application of this policy then a letter outlining that disagreement must be presented to the Board of Directors for final resolution.
