In Timmins Ringette Association JBO action on Sunday, Masonic Lodge defeated Custom Concrete 7-1.   The Lodge completed a successful week by continuing their undefeated streak.   Katie Page was strong in goal for the winners.  The Lodge were led by Erin Rumleski’s two goals.  Isabelle Rondeau, Emilie Viel and Sarah Deforge played strong games and added one goal and one assist each.   Single scores came from  Marie Bourdages-Cote, and Kara D’Arcangelo.   Alexie Trudel replied for Custom Concrete in a losing cause.

Following are the results of other Timmins Ringette Association games from the past week:

Novice Division:

In Novice play on Monday, Neo Lazer Tag overwhelmed Royal Canadian Legion 5-0.  Courtney Biedermann was a wall in front of NEO Lazer Tag’s net.  She was able to shut the door all game.  Victoria Souliere, the goalie for Legion, turned in a strong effort, but was unable to calm the offensive tide coming at her net.   Isabella Merenda led the Neo crew to victory by scoring two goals and adding an assist.    Jana Courchesne added one goal and one assist.  Jasmine Bangs rounded out the scoring.

Petite Division:

In Petite play on Monday, Timmins Garage went on an offensive explosion by doubling Porcupine Kinsmen 10-5.  Karine Bolduc and Isabelle Quesnel-Godda led the Timmins Garage charge with three goals each.  Lauren Bonsall added two goals  and two assists in another strong effort.  Single tallies came off the sticks of Anika Allarie and Alexis Jensen.    Porcupine Kinsmen were led by Juliette Bourdage-Cote`s two goal effort.    Talia Rivard, Zoe Brazeau, and Anne-Sophie Labelle scored one goal each.

On Friday, The Iroquois Falls Legion Bears outlasted a stubborn Timmins Garage team 10-6.  The game was very tight in the first period but the Bears took over the game with an 8 goal explosion in the final period. They were led by Ryas Lessard’s four goals, two goals and one assist from George Cuddy, and Anna McBride’s two goals.  Amaya Come and Abby Cyr added two assists each.   For Timmins Garage, Lauren Bonsall tried to carry her team on her back with a dominating four goal performance.  Ella McCarty also had a strong game with two goals.  Kenady Hussey chipped in with two assists while Alexis Jensen and Julie Whissel had one assist each.

Tween Division:

On Wednesday, in Tween division action, Viel Auto Body played a strong defensive game and shutout Rehab Plus 4-0.  Olivia Peters took advantage of her scoring chances, finding the back of the net twice. The defensive squad of Véronique Dumas, Pari Breton and Tessa Desjardins were solid, helping goalie Emma Bélanger get her first shutout of the season. Lea McLean chipped in with one goal and one assist, while Marguerite Bourdages-cote scored one goal. Sierra Landry added one assist.

 

 

On Friday, Viel Auto Body doubled up on the Iroquois Falls Home Hardware team 10-5.   Viel Auto Body showed another great display of teamwork on Friday night.

Marguerite Bourdages-Côté and Sierra Landry led the Viel attack with four goals each. Olivia Peters added one goal and one assist for the winners, while Janelle Rivard played a strong two way game and scored the final goal. Tessa Desjardins supported the goal scorers with four assists.  Lea Mclean had two assists.  The Hornets from Iroquois Falls were led by Alina Lessard’s two goals.  Single tallies came off the sticks of Logan Lachance, Cloe Poliquin,and Sophie Boucher.

 

 

JBO  Division play:

In JBO action , two rivals skated to a hard fought 2-2 tie.   Masonic Lodge and Tisdale Plumbing and Heating played an exciting game that was tied with less than two minutes left on a goal by Masonic`s Marie Bourdages-Cote.  It was her second goal of the game.    Karine Trudel and Isabelle Rondeau each contributed one assist for the Lodge.  Tisdale was led by the two goal performance of Veronique Gagne.  Emelie Viel added an assist.   The game was highlighted by the strong goaltending performances of Tisdale`s Christina Liposcate and Masonic’s Jacob Laneville.

 

On Wednesday,  Masonic Lodge won their second game of the week in a squeaker, with a 6-5 win over Cain Safety.  This was a fast game back and forth.  Marie Bourdages-Cote continued her scoring streak this week by scoring three goals for Masonic.   Her third and final goal was the game winner with less than a minute left.  Isabelle Rondeau added two goals while Erin Rumleski contributed one goal and two assists.    For Cain Safety,  Nancy Courshesne and Sydney Dagenais scored two goals each while Gabrielle Dagenais scored one.  Samantha Cain and Rylee Kaye contributed one assist each.
