In Novice division action on Sunday,  the Iroquois Falls Ringers narrowly edged Royal Canadian Legion 5-4, in what proved to be a very entertaining game.    The  Ringers were led to victory by the two goal performances of Emerly Come and Catherine Morin.   The latter scored the winner with three minutes left.   Adele Desrochers added a single tally.   Gabrielle Vaillancourt contributed two assists.   Royal Canadian Legion came on strong at the end in scoring with ten seconds left, but it wasn’t enough.  Addison Mquatt led the Legion team with two goals while Gabrielle Cheff and Adele Plouffe scored once each.  Mila Champagne, Adele Yates, and Alexyane Plouffe chipped in with one assist each.

Timmins Garage   7          Designer Pools    6

In Petite division action on Monday, Timmins Garage outdueled a stubborn Designer Pools team 7-6.    This was a game that was dominated by the Pool team in the first half, but was won by Timmins Garage’s big second period comeback where they scored five goals.  The victors were led by two goal performances from Ella McCarty and Lauren Bonsall.  Alexis Jensen had a goal and two assists while Isabelle Quesnel-Godda and Julie Whissel added single scores.   For Julie Whissel, this marked her first career Ringette goal.    The Designer team was led by Ella Brumwell’s two goals and one assist performance.  Brooke-Lynn McGinn chipped in with two goals as well.   Fiona Bernier and Janelle Lapierre added one goal each.   Isabella Peters had two assists in the loss.


Porcupine Kinsmen     8            Designer Pools     7

In Petite action on Tuesday,  Designer Pools lost their second close game of the week in falling short in their battle with Porcupine Kinsmen  8 -7.    This was a back and forth affair with the winning score coming off the stick of Zoe Brazeau with 90 seconds left.   Zoe also added two assists for the winners.    Adison Roberge led the offensive explosion for the Kinsmen in scoring a hat trick.   Juliette Bourdages-Cote chipped in with two goals while single tallies came of the sticks of Daphne Labelle, and Kailan Yacula.   Maya Brousseau added an assist.     For the hard-luck Designer Pools team,  Isabella Peters and Maria Aide-Rios had two goals each.   Janelle Lapierre, Amaia Aide-Rios, and Brooke-Lynne McGinn contributed one goal each.

In Petite Division play on Friday,  Designer Pools played their third game of the week and finally came out with a victory in beating the Iroquois Falls Legion Bears 7-3.   The Designer team was led by the three goal, one assist performance of Maria Aide-Rios.  Isabelle Quesnell added two goals while single tallies came from Brooke-Lynne McGinn and Janelle Lapierre.   Amaya Come, Brian Bell, and George Cuddy responded for the Iroquois Falls team.
