In Timmins Ringette Association Petite Division play on Monday, Designer Pools pushed past Porcupine Kinsmen 6-5.   It was a widely entertaining game highlighted by Elise Aubry’s winning goal with 46 seconds left.  She had a strong game in accumulating two goals and one assist overall.  Isabella Betty-Peters added another 2 goals for the Pool team.  Maria Aide-Rios and Brooke-Lynne McGinn chipped in with one goal and one assist efforts for the winners.   For the Kinsmen, Adison Roberge led the attack with three goals and one assist, while Kailan Yacula added one goal and one assist.  Anne-Sophie Labelle scored the other goal.  Zoe Brazeau and Maya Brousseau had one assist each.

Following are the results of other Timmins Ringette Association games from the past week:

Novice Division:

In Novice play on Monday, Porcupine Kinsmen and Neo Lazer Tag tied 1-1.   It’s was a hard fought, amazing defensive game played by two teams that are used to scoring a lot more goals.  The goalies were the true stars of the game, stopping most of the barrage of shots coming their way.  Emilie Mathieu played valiantly in front of her Kinsmen teammates.  Neo Lazer Tag was led by Isabelle Rivard, who equaled her opponent in being stingy.   At the 6 minute mark, Jillian Daguerre was able to score after a beautiful pass from Adison Lamothe, to give Porcupine Kinsmen team a 1-0 lead.  But, the lead was short-lived as less than a minute later, Cloe Belanger-Gallant was able to tie up the game for Neo Lazer after a defensive turnover.  Supporters in the stands were treated to a wildly entertaining game overall.

On Tuesday, Neo Lazer Tag was back in action and dominated Royal Canadian Legion in winning 6-2.   Kaitlyn Bangs led the victors to the win in scoring two goals and adding one assist.  Isabelle Rivard, Isabella Merenda, and Jana Courchesne scored as well.  Cloe Belanger-Gallant added an assist for the winners.  The Legion team responded with goals from Victoria Souliere and Addison Mcquatt.


Petite Division:

In Petite play on Tuesday, Designer Pools defeated Timmins Garage 5-3.   Martina Romain and Isabella Betty-Peters scored two goals for the Pool team.  Amaia Aide-Rios scored as well.  In defeat, Timmins Garage was led by two goals from Anika Allarie, and one from Camryn Hyde.


Tween Division:

In Tween Division play on Wednesday, Albert`s Sports and Work Wear defeated Viel Auto Body 6-1 behind the strong goaltending of Kyara Breton.   Madison Seguin and Marie-Pier Durepos-Letourneau led the Albert’s team with two goal, one assist efforts.  Jessica Boileau contributed one goal and 2 assists.  Paige Brumwell rounded out the scoring for Albert’s.  Kaylee Simoneau, Ailah Duggan and Jayme Marcotte contributed important assists.  Sierra Landry responded for Viel Auto Body.


JBO  Division play:

In JBO action on Sunday,  Tisdale Plumbing and Heating outlasted a stubborn Masonic team 6-5.

Veronique Gagne led the Tisdale team with a three goal, two assist explosion.  Jennifer D’Aoust had a strong game herself with two goals and one assist.   Danya Desjardin scored the other goal.  Britney Larocque added single assists.    For Masonic, Kara D’Arcangelo scored two goals while Alley Perrier, Erin Rumleski, Magalie Durepos-Letourneau chipped in with single tallies.  Brooke Perrier and Marie Cote added single assists.

On Wednesday, Cain Safety edged Tisdale Plumbing and Heating 5-4 in a squeaker.   It was an entertaining back and forth affair that was decided with 46 seconds left on a goal from Chantal Hamilton.  Cain Safety also got a hat trick from Samantha Cain.   Gabrielle Hamilton had a single tally.   Katie Page was called up from the Tween division to play and was strong in goal.    Ginette Morin, Sydney Dagenais, and Gabrielle Dagenais had single assists.  Tisdale responded with goals from Veronique Gagne, Katie Malo, Jennifer Daoust, and Danya Desjardin.
