In Timmins Ringette JBO division play on Sunday, Cain Safety came to play, in outdueling a short benched crew from Custom Concrete, 6-2.   Nancy Courchesne led the offence for Cain Safety with an impressive three goal, three assist effort.  Rylie Kaye, Samantha Cain, and Gabrielle Dagenais added single markers.   For Custom, Alexie Trudel scored while Jade O’donnell and Natalie Paille chipped in with single assists.  

Here are other games from the Timmins Ringette Association over the past two weeks.

 

Novice Division:

On Friday, Royal Canadian Legion triumphed over Neo Lazer Tag 7-3.  Emily Mathieu and Addison Mcquatt paced the Legion attack with two goals a piece, while single scores came off the sticks of Brooke Lynne McGinn, Mia Thauvette, and Megane Plouffe.   Isabelle Rivard (two goals) and Kaitlyn Bangs responded for Neo Laser.

On the previous Friday (early January), a mixed team made up of players from Royal Canadian Legion/Neo Lazer defeated Porcupine Kinsmen 7-3.   Adison Mcquatt paced the mixed novice team with a four goal explosion.   Kaityln Bangs, Christelle Berthier, and Jasmine Bangs added single marks.  Olivia Breton, Kaitlyn Bangs, and Christelle Berthier contributed single assists.   The Kinsmen team was paced by goals from Emilie Mathieu, Mila Champagne, and Addison Lamothe.  Jordyn Sparks and Tristan Mathieu had the assists.

In another game that same date,  the Royal Canadian Legion edged Neo Lazer Tag 7-5.  Gabrielle Cheff and Addison Mcquatt paced the Legion attack with three goals reach, with Mia Thauvette added the other score.  Emilie Mathieu, Victoria Souliere, and Mia Thauvette each chipped in with two assists.  Isabelle Rivard had a hat trick for Neo Lazer, while Jasmin Bangs and Kaitlyn Bangs completed the scoring.

  

Petite Division:

On Tuesday, Porcupine Kinsmen defeated Designer Pools 7-2.   Daphne Labelle and Cloe Champion paced the Kinsmen team with two goals each, while Zoe Brazeau, Juliette Bourdages-Cote, and Adison Roberge added single tallies.  Juliette Bourdage Cote also contributed four assists in the victory, while Anne-Sophie Labelle added two assists.  Amaie Aide-Rios and Marie Aide-Rios scored in a losing cause for the Pool team.

 

JBO  Division:

On Wednesday,  two JBO divison games were played.  Masonic Lodge and Cain Safety played a high spirited game that went back and forth and ended in an 8-8 seesaw.   Masonic jumped to the lead with a first period 6-4 lead but Cain Safety came back with a strong four goal attack in the second half.   The Lodge were paced by Erin Rumleski’s three goal effort while Isabelle Rondeau scored two.  Single goals came off the sticks of Sarah Deforge, Kara D’arcangelo, and Magalie Durepos-Letourneau.   Durepos-Letourneau, Sarah Deforge, Emelie Viel, Megan Lessard, and Renee Viel contributed two assists each in the win.   For Cain Safety, Karine Caron had three goals, while Shannon Lachance, Alexa Caron, Taylor Kaye, Sydney Dagenais, and Gabrielle Lambert tallied once each.   Gabriele Dagenais added three assists, while Riley Salamone and Gabrielle Lambert had single assists.  

In the other game, Custom Concrete and Tisdale Plumbing and Heating skated to a hard fought 6-6 tie.   The Custom team was led by two goal efforts from Janelle Beland and Alexie Trudel.  Alyssa Curtis and Cassie Villars had single goal contributions.  Amelie Mainville and Cassie Villars each added two assists.    Tisdale tied the tight game with 30 seconds remaining on a goal by Veronique Gagne.   It was her second goal of the game.   Jamie Cayen also had a strong two way game with a goal and three assists.  Danya Desjardins completed the scoring.  

On the previous Wednesday,  Tisdale Plumbing and Heating came out of the holiday break with plenty of energy in defeating Cain Safety  5-4.  Veronique Gagne and Jamie Cayen led the Tisdale attack with two goal efforts.   Cayen’s second goal was the game winner with only 1 second left.  Gabrielle Laroque scored as well.  Danya Desjardins chipped in with two assists.  Karine Caron had a strong game for Cain safety with a goal and an assist.   Sam Cain and Shannon Lachance completed the team’s scoring.
