In JBO division action on Sunday,  Custom Concrete edged Masonic Lodge 4-3 in a close and entertaining game, highlighted by excellent goaltending on both ends.   Erin Rumleski led the Custom team to victory with a two goal, one assist effort.  Jade O`Donnell and Alexie Trudel had single tallies.  Janelle Beland and Alexie Guillemette had one assist each.  Kyara Breton was a rock in goal, matching Masonic`s Emelie Robert save for save.  Masonic`s Isabelle Rondeau led her team with one goal and one assist, while Emelie Viel and Marie Bourdages-Cote had single scores.   Karine Trudel, Renee Viel, and Kara D`Arcangelo contributed single assists in the loss.

Also on Sunday, in Tween division play, Albert’s Sports and Work Wear defeated Viel Auto Body 4-1.

In this game, Viel played a complete team game in moving the ring efficiently all over the ice.   Sierra Landry had a strong game covering Albert’s heavy hitters; cutting off a lot of intended passes in the process.  Marguerite Bourdages-Côté (two goals), Léa McLean and Janelle Rivard found the back of the net for Viel.  Pari Breton had an assist and played a strong defensive game.   Emma Bélanger lost her shutout with 20 seconds left in the game, when Jessica Boileau managed to shoot a ring over her shoulder to score Albert’s lone goal.

Viel’s defensive squad of Pari Breton, Véronique Dumas and Tessa Desjardins were a wall in front of their goalie.

On Sunday, in JBO play, Masonic Lodge and Cain Safety played a close game throughout, but Masonic overcame their rivals with a strong first period where they outscored Cain Safety 3-1.    Marie Bourdages-Côté and Isabelle Rondeau led the victors with two goal performances, while Karine Trudel and Hailey Brousseau chipped in with one goal a piece.   Melina Verreault, Megan Lessard,  Emelie Viel, and Brooke Perrier added single assists.  Cain Safety was led by Samantha Cain`s goal and two assists and Veronique Prudhomme`s two goals.  Kara D`arcangelo also scored.

 

Rehab Plus     4       Alberts Sports and Work Wear     2 

On Sunday, in Tween division play,  Rehab Plus edged Albert’s 4-2 in a very entertaining and close game.   Katie Page was solid in goal for her Rehab team.  Kara Cloutier led Rehab to victory with a two goal effort, while single scores came off the sticks of Caelen Easton and Karine Harvey.   Easton and Keenyah Murray added three assists in their performances, while Danika Ratte had one assist.   Marie-Pier Durepos-Letourneau and Kelly Simoneau replied for Albert’s.

 

Timmins Garage     6    Designer Pools     6

In Petite play on Monday evening,  Timmins Garage and Designer Pools skated to a hard fought 6-6 tie.  Isabelle Quesnel-Godda led the Timmins Garage team with two goals, while Ella McCarty contributed a goal and two assists.  Lauren Bonsall and Camryn Hyde had single scores.  Maria Aide Rios did all that she could for her Designer Pool’s team in scoring five of her team’s six goals.  Janelle Lapierre scored the other goal.    This was an exciting game from beginning to end with the Pool team tying the game with less than 5 minutes left.

 

Timmins Garage    7       Porcupine Kinsmen    1

On Tuesday, in Petite division play, Timmins Garage triumphed over Porcupine Kinsmen  7-1.   Ella McCarty led the victors with a two goal, one assist effort.   Lauren Bonsall added two goals of her own.  Camryn Hyde had a goal and two assists.   Isabelle Quesnel-Godda and Karine Bolduc had single goal contributions.  Brooke-Lynne McGinn replied for the Kinsmen in a losing cause.   Zoe Brazeau picked up the assist on the goal.

 

Viel Auto Body 3     Rehab Plus 1

In Tween division action on Wednesday, Viel Auto Body came out on top in a very hard fought and tightly contested game.  Marguerite Bourdages-Côté scored all three of Viel`s goals, but her exploits would not have been possible without the cohesive efforts of her teammates.  Veronique Dumas and Janelle Rivard had important assists.  Their defensive squad consisting of Véronique Dumas, Léa McLean and Pari Breton was solid in blocking many of Rehab`s top shooters.  Caelen Easton replied for Rehab in a losing cause.

Tisdale Plumbing and Heating     4    Masonic Lodge    4

In Wednesday JBO action,  Tisdale Plumbing and Heating and Masonic Lodge played an entertaining back and forth affair, with the Lodge team scoring with only 36 seconds left to tie the game.  Tisdale`s Renée Viel started the game with her first of two goals in the first period, but Magalie Durepos-Létourneau tied the game up a few minutes later for the Lodge.  Karine Trudel added one near the end of the period.  After the first period, the score was tied 2-2.   Masonic  scored two goals in the second period; by Isabelle Rondeau and Magalie Durepos-Létourneau.    Tisdale equalled the two goal efforts on goals by Renee Viel and Chantal Hamilton.  Assists came from Véronique Gagné and Gab Larocque.

 

Cain Safety    9      Custom Concrete   8

In another Wednesday JBO game, Cain Safety edged Custom Concrete in a back and forth affair where team defence was not a priority.   Shannon Lachance and Nancy Courchesne led the Cain team to victory with three and two goal performances, respectfully.  Single scores came from the sticks of Ginette Morin, Karine Caron, Gabrielle Lambert, and Alexa Caron.     Alyssa Curtis (three goals), Jordyn Bartolomucci, Jade O’Donnell, Neomi Bordeleau, Aimee Chenier, and Natalie Paille replied for Custom Concrete.

 

Porcupine Kinsmen   7        Iroquois Falls Ringers    4

On Friday, in Novice level play, the Porcupine Kinsmen outlasted the Iroquois Falls Ringers 7-4.    The resilient Kinsmen team was short several players for this game, but found a way to win.    Valerie Hamilton, Emilie Mathieu, and Sophia Chamberlain led the Kinsmen to victory with two goals each.  Jazmin Bangs had the single tally.   Jillian Daguerre and Emilie Mathieu added important assists.  Alisa Duggan was strong in goal.  Emerly Come led the Iroquois Falls team with one goal and one assist.  Jade Siguoin, Chloe Boucher, and Adele Desrocher completed the scoring for the Ringers.

On Friday, in Petite division play,  Addison Mcquatt led Designer Pool to victory with a two goal game.   Janelle Lapierre, Maria Aide-Rios, and  Amaia Aide-Rios rounded out the Pool`s scoring.  Anna McBride and Amaya Come replied for the Legion Bears.
