Tornadoes Hit ‘A’ Provincials For A Silver And A Bronze

Our U16A Tornadoes have come away from the 2017 A Provincials in Pickering with a sliver medal !!!

After finishing with the top seed in the round robin the team ran into a determined squad from Sault Ste. Marie.   The Sault only had a 1-0 lead at the end of the first period but the Tornadoes couldn’t find the back of the net and dropped a 3-0 decision to the second seeded Sault Ste. Marie team.

Congratulations on a great season and tournament go out to Marie Bourdages-Cote, Hailey Brousseau, Magalie Durepos-Letourneau, Melina Verreault, Kara D’Arcangelo, Karine Trudel, Isabelle Rondeau, Renee Viel, Alexa Caron, Sydney Dagenais, Sonia Viel and Emily Robert.


The U14A Tornadoes finished their round robin with the 2nd seed and met the 3rd seed City of Ottawa team in the semi final game.   The score was tied at 2 at the end of the first period but Ottawa exploded with 4 unanswered goals in the second.   The Tornadoes never gave up and replied with a power-play goal with only 9 seconds left in the game.   The U14A gang came away with Provincial Bronze!!

The U14A Tornadoes’ banner was carried this year by Margeurite Bourdages-Cote, Sarah Deforge, Cassie Villars, Emilie Viel, Amelie Mainville, Jordyn Bartolomucci, Karine Harvey, Caroline Roy, Kara Clouthier, Zoe Julien, Kyara Breton, Caelen Easton and Adele Larochelle.  Congratulations on a tremendous campaign.
